Persönliche Motivation 

Seit vielen Jahren betrachte ich Blumen im Jahresverlauf. Die unterschiedlichen Zustände, die Zartheit der Blüte, die Anmut der Ausbreitung, die gepaart ist mit dem Willen nach Existenz und Wahrnehmung, wie auch die Reifezeit, die güldene Zeit des Auflebens und Aufbegehrens, bevor das Vergehen droht, faszinieren meinen fotografischen Fokus.  

Die Flüchtigkeit des Moments, die mit der Vergänglichkeit einhergeht, ist auf menschliche Konterfeis übertragbar. In atmosphärischer Einbettung in den öffentlichen Raum möchte ich den Menschen mit ihren Eigenheiten und ihren Geschichten zeigen. Vielfach wähle ich dafür die Schwarz-weiß Fotografie, um dem Gezeigten eine ästhetische Hervorhebung zu verleihen. 

Gerne erstelle ich Porträts von Personen in ihrem natürlichen Lebens- oder Arbeitsumfeld. Zudem porträtiere ich mit Vorliebe Musiker und Musikerinnen. Die Innigkeit, die mit der Präsentation der Musik einhergeht, spiegelt sich zumeist in ihrer Mimik und Gestik wider. Diese Attitüde versuche ich auch in meinen Collagen, die analog und digital hergestellt werden, Ausdruck zu verleihen. 

Personal motivation

I have been looking at flowers throughout the year for many years. The different conditions, the tenderness of the blossom, the grace of the spread, which is coupled with the will for existence and perception, as well as the ripening time, the golden time of revival and rebellion before the threat of decay, fascinate my photographic focus.

The fleetingness of the moment, which goes hand in hand with transience, can be transferred to human likenesses. In an atmospheric setting in the public space, mostly in black and white, I would like to show people with their peculiarities and their stories. 

I also like to create portraits of people in their natural living or working environment. In special like to portray musicians. The intimacy that goes along with the presentation of the music is mostly reflected in their facial expressions and gestures. These attitudes I also try to express in my collages, which are created analogue and digitally.
